John Floyd – Books and Manuscripts

John Floyd has been a specialist with David Lay Auctions for over a decade.  Anything he doesn’t know about books and manuscripts isn’t worth knowing.

David Taylor – Collectors’ Items

David Taylor has a huge breadth of knowledge, encompassing coins, stamps, post cards, toys, medals, memorabilia and many things in between.  His Collectors’ sales are well respected and attended events.

Douglas Wright – Oriental Art

Douglas Wright is based in Oxfordshire, but is always on call for the identification of Oriental items, occasionally visiting in person to catalogue substantial collections.  Having worked as a consultant specialist at Christies’, his help and advice are always gratefully received.

Phil Waller – Antiques and General

Phil has been working with David for over 25 years lotting Victorian to Modern and Antiques sales.  Over this time, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge in various areas, particularly furniture and cars.

Chris Dyer – Prints and Photographs

Chris joined David Lay Auctions in 2013 as an in house photographer. He has since taken on the role as Art Sale Manager, following a career that began in advertising and developed into Photography and Teaching.   After a recent influx of and demand for posters and prints, he has taken the role as our prints specialist.
